Wheni go offroadwith my truck it sometimes acts like it has no power?
It's a 2007 chevy silverado 4.8 liter junk. It's a 4x4 lt; at first I thought it was just the stabilitrak but I turned it off and the truck just Sits there at like seventeen hundred rpms and will not budge until I either put it in 4x4low or back back out? Any suggestions I betoken it's listed at 295 horse I wouldn't think power would b the issue but idk? Any suggestions

I have a 1987 G10 Sportvan with a curtail wheel base. The frame is rusted and rather than repair, I thought it may be worth investing the money in getting it converting it to a 4x4. Would be easier to revamping frame then add 4x4 parts or can I simply put body of van on Chev truck chassy? I know the engine and tranny discovery of the van may be a concern? Is it doable? How?

A four of nights ago I was chillin at a friend's house when this guy come over in this beat up old chevy 4x4. So all of us was sitting around talkin (puff stretch pass) and this guy was going on and on about how good this truck is. So finally we went out to look at it. The truck is missing the windshield, the hood, the lower limit board, the gas pedal. The pikey said, "It's got eight feet of exhaust under it; it's bad!" To make this all cover more sense this guy had obviously been 'up' for several days. Then when he closed the door he lifted it up and closed it and said: "This is how you fast it!" The truck can only be started in gear so he took off going down this gravel road towards a dead end. Meanwhile my flatmate and I are laughing so hard that we are about to fall on the ground. We hear him for a few minutes and then the truck dies.
Next thing we be aware a neighbor's porch light comes on so the two of us are standing there waiting to see if he is going to steal some gas or something. A few minutes goes by so we come to a decision to get in my jeep and go see whats going on. The truck has died in the middle of the road; we give him a jump (and I have to jump out the way - it starts in outfit only). We follow him a little farther down thinking he is going to turn around soon but he doesn't and the truck dies again. The pikey comes over to the jeep and says, " I'll barely leave it here and get it later."
True story.
