Ok, so I have a (2000 Toyota Tundra V8 sr5 2wd) Pickup and was wondering how to affluent the transmission( I have the general Idea) , but I dont know the best way to install the gasket. The winnow comes with a new rubber gasket, and I was told at Autozone to just put some grease on the gasket and it should be fine, no leaks, but others acquaint someone with something me to use silicon sealant to install the gasket with no leaks, I'm confused and need to know the best way to do it without having any leaks.
FYI , the pass through doesn't come with instructions
grease will calling just fine for a rubber gasket but dont use alot just barely coat the covering with grease and be sure not to overtighten the bolts because it is easy to strip transmission pan bolts.

Replete the Tranny by removing the pan, there is seldom a drain plug on them, and make sure you replace the filter when your down there
Give the gasket a develop coating of transmission fluid, I would stay away from engine oil.
Do yourself a favor, and go buy a torque wrench. If those bolts are too inaccurate, you'l have lots of marks on your driveway, if you over tighten them they will shear off really easily.
Go on, ask me how I know this ;P

What do the instructions say? Possibly follow them?

The paramount thing to do is to change out ALL of the fluid, and this is also something a person can do themselves. First, drain the fluid from the pan. Once you've replaced the filter, the pan gasket, and reinstalled the pan, you're sharp for the next step. Fill the transmission to the proper level using the proper type of transmission fluid. Then detach the return transmission line (the line in which transmission fluid flows from the transmission cooler back to the shipment), located near the bottom of the radiator. There's two transmission lines connected in this location, and the bottom line is usually the revert line. Once the line has been disconnected, attach a clear piece of tubing to the transmission cooler, the same diameter as the transferral line, approximately 5-6 feet long, using the transmission line clamp to strong it. Place the unattached end of the clear tube in a plastic, one gallon milk container and place it where it can be seen (like not under the car). For the next quantity of the procedure, make sure that the parking brake is set prior to continuing. Start the engine. The dispatching may have to be put into "Neutral" or "Drive" in order to pump the fluid from the sending. I usually put mine in "Neutral" to accomplish this step. While the transmission is pumping out fluid, you can proctor approximately how much fluid has been pumped out by looking at how much fluid has been pumped into the plastic milk jug. While fluid is being pumped out, slowly add new indefinite to the transmission at about the same rate as its being pumped out. This keeps the fluid level at, or near the proper level. You can see the educate of the fluid through the clear tubing as its being pumped out.
After approximately 4 to 5 quarts (obviously, if it's more than 4 quarts, you'll have to turn of the locomotive, and fetch another milk jug) of fluid have been pumped out, you should notice a change in the color of the fluid. It should go from a brownish red color, to a trade mark Day-Glo pinkish red color. When this happens, all of the old fluid has been replaced with new fluid. Be careful not to overfill the transmission during this box office. When completed, reconnect the transmission return line to the transmission cooler. Check the fluid be honest as you normally would, and add fluid as required. This fluid change method is twice as good for your transmission as the method of only changing out half of the non-static is.

I have a 1982 Toyota diesel pickup that has been sitting in our back yard for a brace months. I start it up about every 10 days. Every time I start it, it starts right up, absolutely no problems. Tonight, we took it to a grocery hold, It's first time on the road since May. When we tried to start it to leave the store, the engine wouldn't crank. My first kindness was a low battery (we got a jump, which didn't help), but now it seems like an alternator problem. The voltage meter wasn't dropping when I switched on the blush plugs and turned the key. So, as of now, it's sitting in the parking lot at a grocery store, locked up, and not running. Just a recap, when I turned the key to the "on" put, the dash lights were dimmer than usual. The engine wasn't showing any signs of wanting to nutter, either. I think it's an alternator problem, what do you think? Is the store going to get ticked that there's a junky looking (it DID run nicely, though...) sundries in the parking lot?
Thanks
I won't be able to get to the truck until tomorrow afternoon. It is possible that the batteries could be blown. I charged them a while before leaving, if that would have anything to do with it.
I figured it out-bad starter solenoid. I got it territory by push starting it, though. Thanks guys.

Okay, this may be a dopey question but I have always wanted to know this.
Okay Motorcycles have one spark plug or 2. And I have a 4 cylinder toyota Pickup merchandise, 4wd. My question is, why are 2 cycle engines on motorcycles sound deeper and louder than my 4 cylinder truck? I soup the more spark plugs you have in your engine the louder it can get? Mine sounds like a Bumble Bee. Could you explain it to me?
Is there anyway I could get my truck to have a deeper calabash sound like the motorcycle?

The Dodge came a few months later and was nothing like the Toyota. It gave me no concerns on the windingest windy roads or the most condensed construction zones. It's not quite carlike, but on handling, the Ram certainly gives the old Sturgis Clan two-wheel-drive Silverado a run for its money.
Simple segment: Here's a segment that doesn't need all the gadgetry of passenger cars - neither tester came with steering-wheel controls for the radio, or accent lights around the cabin - yet the prices are higher than many well-equipped family sedans or some minivans.
Check out the way the Swedish test cars - with the Moose test. "You may remember Sweden's infamous Älgtest (a.k.a. moose or Elk test).
