2004 Toyota Highlander Gold 100,000 miles
or
2000 Chevy Lumina bloodless/blue 50,000 miles
I'm not sure about mpg, but that's not as big a factor I suppose, as getting the car that's going to run the longest. It's a big element though! They're both being offered to me by my parents. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for your help!!!
Toyota's are known for getting a lot of miles on them before you start having chief problems.
my parents had a 2000 Chevy Impala, and it only had about 60,000 miles and was starting to have a lot of problems. They ended up trading it in while they could still refer to it.

Toyota!!! I have a Toyota Corolla with 220,000 nettle free, repair free miles on it! It's been paid for for 6 years now. My cousin bought a Chevy at the same then and has all kinds of problems. The Chevy was junk. She drives a Toyota now.

No pique but I strongly think that you are the best person to decide for yourself. You have mentioned two cars that are solid and reliable - right choice I must say.
Why not call up few car dealers to see what they are offering, check craiglist and kijiji for direct ads and also no harm in checking few online car blogs to be informed the actual views of the people who have used these cars.

Between those two, the Toyota truly. I personally am not a big fan of them, but they are still good cars.

Now 2 yeas later and 35k miles I am very light-hearted. My task force press card keeps up with milage and its getting 17mpg driving around metropolis with several drivers. Only repleced tires at 33k never any problems. Even this v-6 will run, to expeditiousness limiter does not rebound in at 109 like 5.7 4x4. V-6 = 127mph on gps! bare as silk, holds the approach devoted.
Bought a tolerant of 2007 ext cab 5.7 longbed for deliveries, its getting 15.5 mpg, 38k miles. It was worn to in a camper and has tax springs. I have pulled a 18ft trailer with about 14k pounds (did not produce how much 18" tile weighs)
Odds did not pains. Pulled extensive and stopped gifted.
My driver is a 08 band cab 4x4, leather(woolly gel) chock-full. Fearful odds, got 14-15 mpg before I lifted it 2 inches and put on 10 ply BFG oversize tires, now it gets 12 mpg. I have climed, drove through 3ft mud, crawled rocks and it has not been stopped. I have 20k miles and no problems.
These are well built, go like heck and boy do they have brakes. Enjoyably and calm on the entr control well in corners. They do ride alot smaller than they are. The tableau out the windsheild is rectitude, you can see the corners and have knowledge of where the bumper is.
My woman loves driving these trucks, on a tour to Mississippi in a burdensome precipitation she drove 75 mph, fanaticism people wondering why they were so relaxed. Even when transient substantial traffic she felt bold.I have a 2007 Honday Odyssey for exchange if anyone is interested. She is getting a Sequoia. We have never had the Highlander/Kluger here, so it was a nice change compared to...
