8:28 a.m. The manager of the Dunkin’ Donuts on Main Street came to the police station to report that a woman had accidentally taken a set of keys that belonged to an employee. The manager said she had no way of contacting the woman. Police eventually contacted the woman by phone, and the woman returned the keys to Dunkin’ Donuts without incident.

1:50 p.m. An officer responded to Amberwood Drive for a report of a possible computer scam. A man said he recently lost his Social Security card and that he applied for a new one on a website called SimpleFiling.com. He later grew fearful his identity had been compromised. The officer contacted an employee at SimpleFiling.com and she stated the company takes a customer’s information and fills out the required application documents to expedite the process. She stated that the company emailed the man the necessary application documents, and the man confirmed that he had received them. The officer told the man to continue monitoring his accounts as a precaution.
