  Redesigned Toyota Corolla on sale in Japan

Toyota has begun selling the redesigned Corolla Axio and Corolla Fielder station wagon in Japan through "Toyota Corolla" dealers. Since its debut in 1966, the Corolla has become a favorite of consumers around the world, with cumulative global sales exceeding 39 million vehicles making it the world's best-selling vehicle.

With the new Corolla Axio and Corolla Fielder Toyota designers sought a return to the Corolla's origins.  Both vehicles were completely revamped to minimize body size while maintaining comfortably transport four adults over long distances.
