I have a 1991 toyota camry dx, 4 cylinder, robot-like. When i first bought the car it shook a little bit. I put 18 inch chrome rims on it and it still does the same thing. I also balanced all the wheels before putting them on. What would be some reasons why it shakes?
If you haven't already, you may extremity an alignment.

I call to mind you have your tires checked out. Have you hit any curbs or anything that might have bent the rim? I had a '94 olds that would shake between 55 and 70 mph. After 70 it would stem, turns out one of my front tires had a bent rim.
Other than that it's an alignment issue. Hope this helps :)

Rather old car.
Modern years, suspension technology has been greatly improved.
If anything, it's due to the old suspension.

Check into your tires first inside and outside sidewall if it has a part that is ballon or oblong. same thing with your rims. Even you balance a tires and rims with plant defects it will still shakes. If your rims and tires are all okay you can bring your car for alignment and camber test. Hope this helps!

Ok dead white smoke coming from my car. THere is no over heating and all of the fluid levels look to be good. I checked the oil and it looks very much ordinary, no chocolate milky look like i have been told to look for in case it may be a head gasket. There is a conceivability that i put some bad gas in it (water logged or stihl) from my gas tank that I have outside but the car has been doing this for 5 days now and have put 20 dollars of gas in it in which i weigh it would have already filtered out by now. There is one possible other explanation and that is I haven't changed my oil in a pretty good while and it may be that smoking but it doesn't look bluish color like oil should look when it burns. The smoking mostly occurs during opening start up and lasts 30 seconds at most. It is alot of smoke at first but dies down completely after 30 or so seconds. Periodically through out the day there is definitely no smoke, sometimes alot, and sometimes in between. There is absolutely no performance problems, every once in a while there is a little slow start up but its a 1996 toyota camry. Was wondering if you guys be familiar with what may be going on. Any help would be great.
White smoke is coming from tailpipe not the actual car itself! Also figured sluggardly start up becasue of older car.
Anti Freeze is completely full and doesn't look like oil is getting into it or anything. Also there is not hesitation in starting up the car like there may be if a blown or cracked move gasket.
Checked the radiator and there was coolant at the exact level it was suppose to be in. Didn't crank the car up becasue tere are still no signs of coolant privation in the resuvoir or the radiator. Radiator pressure was there and again the coolant level was at the top in the radiator.
I at most bought a 1989 toyota camry in excellent condition today. I don't get it till tomorrow or later on this week. Now it's all bloodline and i was wondering does the 1989 stock radio head unit come with a cd player? And if not, i can always put one in berate? (im a noob with cars). Thanks!

I have had my Camry for a few months now and have had no problems at all at the end of the day for an old car.
But yesterday I got out of the car, and like I always do, I use the power locks located on my car door to lock the doors, but for some reason it has never locked my driver door, so I principled manually lock that myself and shut the door. No big deal.
But then I come back to get in my car, and my key won't turn at all. And the key has never worked on the passenger side, so I use the power incarcerate key chain, and it unlocks all of my doors except the driver's door.
So then I crawl from the passenger side to the driver side hoping I can merely manually unlock it. It's jammed, it won't go over. And when I finally did manage to get it to "unlock", the door still would not exposed.
Trust me, I've kicked at it, pulled at it, pleaded with it, that damn door is not budging. I need help. Any admonition?

Nissan aims new 2013 Altima to topple Camry as No. 1

And there was talk in the air of this version of Nissan's top seller -- and a frequent No. 2-selling car in the U.S. -- finally knocking off Toyota's Camry as America's best-selling car.
Nissan bragged that this is just the first of five new vehicles due over the next five quarters -- including the new-gen Pathfinder and Rogue -- but this redesign may be the company's most important. The mid-size sedan is Nissan's bread and butter -- its best-selling and best-known model.
