97 Toyota 4-Runner has a squeeking belt. It looks like it is the one running the fan. How do I know for sure?

Any expereience on changing these things out?

to find out which band it is... rub a little bar soap on the belt's inner surfaces while the engine is running.... "Circumspect OUT FOR FAN AND DON'T GET YOUR FINGERS IN THE BELTS" !!!
It will become quiet when you do.
OLD HARD and or cracked belts should be replaced.

How much does it normally cost to replace your windshield?

Not artful what year you have, I am going to take a guess. $220 to $250 would be a fair price.

That's not to say you couldn't pay a lot more, or a lot less, but here's what I know from being an staff member of a national auto glass company. Companies that charge more could be doing so to pad their own wallet. Someone charging significantly less is in all likelihood using an inferior piece of glass.

Another way you could end up paying more is if the windshield being installed has a "rare" color formulate. Most people don't realize there's tint built into the windshield. Mostly it's blue or green, but sometimes bronze, as well. Also, some windshields have a darker gang of tint (usually blue or green) along the top where your visor is. If you end up being quoted substantially more, ask if there are other color choices that will set free you money.

can these motors be changed?

i have a 91' toyota 4-runner with a v6 and i need to know if a 4 cylinder can be bolted in. it is also a 4wd if that makes a difference
its a carborated 4 cylinder

Why would my car be doing this lately?

I took my car in for an oil variety last week and he also talked me into getting my transmission fluid changed (1999 Toyota 4-runner 162K miles). He told me my battery was low but I didn't variation that and he didn't really say I HAD to. So anyways from the next day on when I start my car, it literally shakes a lot and it's just so weird to feel it shaking as if it's about to cowshed and go dead if you know what I mean. If I drive faster I don't feel it anymore. Any ideas? Could it be the batteries are low and it shakes? Any way to test it? My nightmare is for my car to break down on the road. Please help!

Is the fuel injector related to the transmission? I find it odd it started from when I took the car in and they changed the transmission fluid.
thebax - when he finished the job the baulk motor light was off but when the shaking started the light went on and is still on. Ugh I hope they're not breaking down my car on purpose. As I was leaving I tried to decamp eye contact with him to say bye but he wouldn't look at me.

If the mechanic rambling your battery to test it or clean the cables, the computer may have to relearn the idle speed. This happens automatically, all you require to do is drive with the AC and headlights off in stop and go traffic.
If that's not it and it keeps running rough, the mechanic may have left a energize plug wire loose if he checked to see if you needed a tune up. I'd go back to the shop and have them double check your motor. Is there a ses slight on?
