corrupt? the compressor works for an hour and then it shuts off and after a few hours it starts up again. i paid to replace the receiver (dryer) both sending switches, one for compressor and one for the fan, vac. for an hour, to minus 30 degrees any guidance what else to do?
Compressor is the device that has a piston and and a clutch, when operating, it pumps freon throughout the system. The compressor clutch cuts on and off without car being overheated. I tried to give the go-by the seding switch at the drier and still does not work. It works only when it feels like it.
spell out "compressor"

coolant temp sender? sounds like teh car might b overheating or at least weighty the computer that it is.....most cars including urs hav a saftey built in that wen the cars overheats it turns off the ac to help distant the motor......cud b the sensors or wireing to the sensors... ect....
u might need to by-pass this saftey physicalism just because it might b easier than fixing the problem......not 100 prct sure that this is wats improper but it sounds lik it ..........good luck

I asked this quiz yesterday & did get a few good responses but, a few responses that didn't quite fit due to apparently more information being needed. A few mentioned my sisters as "first however drivers". They are not. They have been driving since they were 13 (farm equipement @ my Uncle's & my dad's friend owns a run to earth on which they have both driven a Hemi Roadrunner, a 1970 Chevy Nova, etc on countless occasions so they are not unfamiliar with muscle at all. They also have had their licenses since the day they turned 16. Another living soul stated that they thought my sisters were selfish to ask for these. I proposed this whole thing, not them, on the basis that they came up with the money & recieved in order A's through Junior High & high school & they have. Also, they are far from selfish. They do all the yard work on 23 Acres because for the one-time 5 years, my father has not been able to because of a heart attack. They come clean my house & take care of my dogs if I get stuck @ toil or my fiance & I go on vacation without even needing to be asked. They also volunteer @ local soup kitchens. You couldn't ask for haler siblings & they are the definition of unselfish. As far as insurance is concerned, that is covered for them for the first year by myself & my father & they will be listed as indirect drivers under me so the cost is not all that bad. Another person noted that whenever he was writing up auto loans he would purposefully deny teenagers even with co-signers & that many others do too. I am not co-signing, the car will be in my name totally & yes I know the risks of this but, if they can't pay, I have it. A few people mentioned that they should sell their trade & just find a car for 12k but, the problem with that is, it wouldn't have the scant warranty I want for them (unless u were to pay over 2 grand more for the extended which still may not cover everything & would not last as long as I want it to). Our family is very, very diligent & don't really have the time to take them somewhere should they have to wait for a car to be fixed. With the new cars I've selected, all the warranties state that if the car goes in for any adjust, a rental is provided free of charge & are full bumper-to-bumper warranties. So, with new information provided i would like some feedback to the call in:
For my sisters' Senior year, I asked that they come up with 5k by the end of summer & they came up with 8k for me to sign for a new car for them. Their trade is importance 4500 & with all that as a down payment, these are the cars they have narrowed it down to: A 2010 VW Tiguan that will cost them like $303 a month but it's Trap! Bike rack, heated seats & steering wheel, u name it, plus their oil changes, inspection & emissions would be for nothing for the life of the car. A 2010 Mazda3 grand touring 5 door that will cost them like $226 a month & I identify that's not all-wheel or 4 wheel like I wanted them to have but my fiance has one that's a couple years older & it goes extraordinary in snow so I guess I'm okay with that. There's a 2010 Dodge Nitro we looked at before that will be $286 a month (truly less cuz we didn't calculate their trade in when we looked). Another we looked at was a new Subaru WRX-STI that's all-wheel, loaded & would be about $300/month. There was also a Mercedes 2009 M-Type we found that was a demo for a salesman & only has 15k miles, it's all-wheel & loaded, even heated seats & steering wheel & I can get 0% financing on it, the payments will be slenderize higher ($363 a month) but I kinda saw their eyes light up when we looked at that. Plus with the payment split in half & that being the only bill they would have other than car protection. (Dad pays cell bill) They still want to look at a new Pathfinder cuz they love mine but I think I might get jealous if they had a newer one than me, lol. And of tack, they both are REALLY trying to talk me into the Dodge Challenger SRT-8 that would cost $400/month that we test drove solely for fun but, now they want it. I know they could afford to split the payment on it & my father & I are covering the first 12 months of cover. All have full warranties until the loan would be paid off. I'm a lil worried about the Challenger cuz I don't want them to wreck in the snow. (We live in PA) What do you guys value? Also, today we looked at a new Cadillac SRX, A Nissan Rogue, & a Jeep Compass. The SRX is $361 a month, the Rogue & the compass are both about $289 a month.

For my sisters' Higher- ranking year, I asked that they come up with 5k by the end of summer & they came up with 8k for me to sign for a new car for them. Their trade is worth 4500 & with all that as a down payment, these are the cars they have narrowed it down to: A 2010 VW Tiguan that will bring in them like $303 a month but it's LOADED! Bike rack, heated seats & steering locale, u name it, plus their oil changes, inspection & emissions would be free for the life of the car. A 2010 Mazda3 grand touring 5 door that will sell for them like $226 a month & I know that's not all-wheel or 4 wheel like I wanted them to have but my fiance has one that's a match up years older & it goes great in snow so I guess I'm okay with that. There's a 2010 Dodge Nitro we looked at before that will be $286 a month (in fact less cuz we didn't calculate their trade in when we looked). Another we looked at was a new Subaru WRX-STI that's all-wheel, loaded & would be about $300/month. There was also a Mercedes 2009 M-Bearing we found that was a demo for a salesman & only has 15k miles, it's all-wheel & loaded, even heated seats & steering wheel & I can get 0% financing on it, the payments will be degree higher ($363 a month) but I kinda saw their eyes light up when we looked at that. Plus with the payment split in half & that being the only bill they would have other than car assurance. (Dad pays cell bill) They still want to look at a new Pathfinder cuz they love mine but I think I might get jealous if they had a newer one than me, lol. And of no doubt, they both are REALLY trying to talk me into the Dodge Challenger SRT-8 that would cost $400/month that we test drove reasonable for fun but, now they want it. I know they could afford to split the payment on it & my father & I are covering the first 12 months of indemnity. All have full warranties until the loan would be paid off. I'm a lil worried about the Challenger cuz I don't want them to wreck in the snow. (We live in PA) What do you guys concoct?
the challenger's the only one i'm unmistakable discouraging. it's not a new-driver-friendly car. it's long, rear-wheel-drive, and got lots of horses under the hood. not that coffer for a beginner. if they're taking the car to school, i wouldn't recommend the M-class, either - it's a hater magnet in school. unless of seminar you can afford any minor repairs people might do to it - scratches and stuff.
when i was a student, i used to haul lots of materials for projects and extra-curricular work. i had (and still have) a 2002 Lancer with an aftermarket sound system, and i often had to take out the subwoofer for the things i had to bring. occasionally, i even had to borrow my mom's Honda CRV for even more space. that for me eliminates the Impreza, too.
So that narrows it down to 3: the Nitro, Mazda3 and Tiguan. of those i would pick the 3, being a disgrace-maintenance car. but if i were in your shoes and you seem pretty loaded, that's out, too. at this point, it's a toss-up - i like the the exterior of the Nitro, but i like the Tiguan's individual better. i'd still go for the Nitro, though, if only for the muscular looks, and the seemingly higher driving position.
hope that helps!

Mercedes reveals design revamp with new A-Class
21.05.12
(AP) GENEVA - Mercedes-Benz unveiled a radical redesign of its A-Class vehicles Tuesday, the first in a series of facelifts for the German luxury automaker’s fleet.
The sleek, sporty look of the new A-Class contrasts sharply with its dowdy predecessor, favored by the over-50s since it was launched more than a decade ago.
"We’re looking for younger and more female customers," said Dieter Zetsche, the CEO of Mercedes’ parent company Daimler.
The customer reaction so far had been positive, he said, calling the new design strategy on which the A-Class is based "an exclamation point."

1984 300 SD broken parts/need help - Mercedes-Benz Forum
by jb1961
I'm new to this forum and in fact is I found this place! I had a funny supporting yesterday with my 84 '300 SD and I hope someone can give me some info. While browsing yesterday, I suddenly heard a roar uninterrupted slapping under the hood. I stopped, took a look and saw what looks like a domesticated fan belt wrapped around the bell housing of the fan. There is also son wrapped around her I can not unravel. I was responsible for moving the rubber part that beat around. I can not touch the place where the strike is demoralized from? since all the belts seem to be in position. In addition, facilities tube overflow on top of the radiator off as poor?!...
