How much would it bring in to rebuild the engine of a 1988 Honda CRX? I don't need exact numbers but a ballpark worst case schema would be nice.

I would also like to know

-how much would a new 4banger engine would cost that would fit/work for an 88 CRX?
-what exactly would rebuilding the appliance do for the Honda? (I've heard it becomes essentially new)
-price for a new manual transmission?

Well done the routine way new pistons,rods,bearings,turn the crank if it is good,mag the head and machine it,do the valves,timing cestus and every other little part and piece and when done it will be like a new engine.I would say it will cost around 1500.00-2500.00.

1990 Honda Crx Si upgrades?

I was wondering if there are any reliable upgrades i could do to the crx that wouldnt cost me an arm and a leg. As of now the crx has:
- b18ls engine and tranny swap
- aem intake
- greddy exhaust (ownership cat)
- aftermarket headlights, corner lights and tail-lights
- new clutch
- new axles
- montegi rims
- carbon fiber hood
- the hood is "fading" and i was told i could buff it out to place it look better, but i'm not sure if that would work. any ideas?
(sorry i dont have a pic)
- could use a new paintjob, but theres only a few insignificant rust spots (surface rust), the rest of the crx is almost free of rust

- Bisimoto Header
-Check pipe with or with out an e-cut out or a high flow cat
-New cams and cam gears
-carbon fiber trunk
-take out the spare bother and back seats
-take out AC
-Ditch the motegi wheels and get lighter ones
-better tires
-FULL coilovers
-camber kit
-parade bars
-pillar bars
-sway bars and subframe brace
-higher compression pistons with speculator head studs,valves,retainers, and springs
-or set up the internals for boost

the list can even go on more

Is there a repair manual that deals only with the Honda Civic Del Sol and not the CRX and the regular civic?

you can still buy the starting factory manual for the Del Sol through
Helm Publications. They warehouse and distribute all of the factory manuals for Honda.

I'm a Irish colleen that doesnt have a clue about cars. I'm wanting to get my boyfriend a shift knob for his honda, looks like this:

whats the defeat knob to get that will work for his car?

exactly make sure its not heavy or youll be needing a new shifter to go with that knob.ever see the cobra head with lighted eyes?that matter is a tranny buster.
