How do you replace the crankshaft position sensor on a 1996 Honda Accord LX with a 2.2 non ve-tech engine?

I have the part I equitable need to know how complicated it is and how long it should take a certified mechanic to do the job I don't want to pay more than I should.

I have a 95 honda accord lx with a 2.2 non vtec that has start up while cranking but when it fires up the spark quits and obviously it dies, I have tried a new distributor and that did not help, the instructions I am using said there was a crank sensor behind the timing and balance shafts so I took off the cover to assay it and come to find out thats in the distributor as well. My question is, is there a ckp sensor outside of the distributor or has anyone had this problem, Im sick of throwing parts at it, Ive heard computers are a question in these along with ignitors

ahaha always scrutinize battery first when car doesnt start, than the spark plugs, than fuel pump than the i dont think its the sensor

i have heard that the distributors are the emotionally upset but you already replaced that, and in this situation i would not have replaces that in the first place. i had that same problem when i bought my car. a 1990 civic with the 1.5. since the appliance will fire up and then die when you release the key that tells me that the problem is in the actual switch behind the ignition (where you put the key. i found one for my car for 20 dollars and it has run ever since well, the distributor did let down a year and a half later but that was something else.

A car should either have whit or not have spark. It will not have spark when it starts, then cut off spark once it is running. Are you checking for spark at the coil or at the end of the spark jam wires (the end that connects to the spark plug)?

Many cars have a crank and a cam sensor. I know on Fords that they are located in the sketch. If one of these sensors senses something wrong (such as bad timing since you changed the distributor) or is broken, it will send a signal to the PCM to disable galvanize or fuel so the car will not start. It should not start and then die. It should not start period if something was wrong with one of these sensors.

If you have spark from the coil to the distributor, but not from the distributor to the galvanize plugs, the timing belt is broken. An easy way to check this is take off the distributor cap and crank the car, if the rotor in the distributor does not courtesy, the timing belt is broken.

Try checking your ignition circles, sparkplugs, rotor. They might be malfunctioning. Hope this helps!

Problem in bike. Mechanic says crunk and pistan needs to replaced.?

Hi i m having Heroine Honda Passion Plus 2007 model. The engin oil used to get disappeared very soon. Both service middle and local mechanics say that it requires half engine repair. That is ATTLEAST replacing of pistan and crunk. I do't skilled in any thing about this pistan and crunk and what these parts do.
However cost to repair is high. According to service agency people to get it repaired in ageny can payment around 5000 INR as they will replace the whole part that contains pistan and crunk. However road side mechanics say that it will cost around 2000 INR as they will get return only pistan and curnk. They also say that after this repair the resail value of the bike will be just hald of the current resell value as my motor is not repaired or opened till now.
I am not sure what to do..
Mechanics are also saying that after opening half engine they will get comprehend that is there any need to open full engine or not. It there is any such need then the cost will be around 10000 in agency and 5000-6000 in road side garage.
Please proffer me what to do where to go....
please help me...

I am worrying to replace my driver side power mirror on my Honda 04 Accord DX. I do not need to replace the whole thing--only the mirror and the actuator. When I look up the part, the diagram and part listings are confusing.

There are 4 parts listed below. I'm not certain if I need only two parts or all 4 parts. What does the (FLAT) mean? I appreciate any guidance.

Home made super car..Help?

If i lack to make a home made super car, from and old chassis with my own design. Mid front engine and rear wheel driven.

1. A rubbish/Jeep diesel engine V8 or V6 converted to petrol engine and be implanted to the car?

2. If it uses diesel, a supercharger or turbo charger would be preferably?

3. For best performance which type of gear box and suspension should be use?

4. What other aspect to consider wheel building it up?

According to you, what top rapidity can this diesel powered engine achieve?
Would it be wisher to modify the engine to petrol? Is it possible?

To be conducive to such a car, which normal street car is appropriate to modify?
Honda civic, Mitshubhishi evolution, lancer, etc...suggest one.

Which trunk parts, like the axel, tires, rims, catalytic exhaust etc other than the core to be modified?

I would be thankful for your eschew and make it a success.
According to you what can be the estimated price to modify that car??

Yes, there were Hondas on the list, but in the premier spot where the Accord used to be found, the Volkswagen Passat now sits. Is the magic gone?

Honda launched the 2013 Accord Coupe Concept at the Detroit auto show a few weeks back. Although true fans of the car can spot some differences, to the untrained eye the car is basically unchanged. We saw the car in Montreal at the International Auto Show and it qualified only as a “Walk-Past.” Other than the show wheels and some new headlight jewelry, the car could pass for the current Accord Coupe. Will the styling tweaks and engine updates keep it competitive with the huge strides that the Kia Optima and Hyundai Sonata recently made?
