1995 Ford Ranger Check Engine Light Problem?

I have a 1995 Ford Ranger with 172,000 miles and the appliance light is on i took it for diagnostics and no problems they turned it off and it came on i gain i did the battery cable fulfil the need, and i comes back on after driving for like 3 hours. Can somebody tell me what is up? Probably a fuse or something? I want a mechanic to disbosom oneself me or someone experienced please thanks.
Forgot to say that the EGR Value has been replaced clyinoyds however you spell it and i think a Oxygen Sencer

I have a 94 Ford Ranger 2x4 with a 4 cyl. engine. Would be able to pull a 14 ft. camper?

1995 Ranger 4x4 Transmission stuck in drive all positions?

I bought a 1995 ford ranger. 4R55 auto tranny. The transmitting seems to be stuck in drive throughout all gear selections. will only move forward. even in park, reverse and neutral it seems to be in drive. I drove this rubbish home 100 miles and got the transmission to even go into overdrive. But as soon as I parked it, it went back to the same problem. No leave, reverse or neutral, just drive in all selections.
the shift cable is working and seems to be cycling at the sending. when hot the transmission seems to be building pressure releasing fliud at the vent tube

It has a cloud of dismal smoke mixed with a strong gas oder at the exhaust.Could the alternator cause this by messing up the computer somehow? I've searched the net and found that a bad kindling pressure
regulator could cause the black smoke and gas smell, But that don't explain the headlights going dim with upsetting two brand new batteries on the truck. I also tried a multimeter on the battery and checking the alternator and it is between the right numbers. This has me puzzled ? Please daily help

Please lift This has been happening for two weeks and the only work I did to it was changed the lower ball joint. The truck has 93,000 miles and the tester does conclude from between 13.8 and 14.8 when running and under load, and between 12.5 and 12.8 when off.

2001 ford Ranger Edge Gas mileage after lift?

Im looking at lifting my 2001 ford ranger fringe 1"-2" (just by adjusting the torsion bars)\
does anybody recognize roughly wat ill get for gas mileage after i do this?
i think the 2001 ranger edge 4.0L gets 19mpg highway

tachometer on a 96 ranger?

im maddening to hook a tachometer to my 96 ford ranger, ive tried everything ive hooked it up to every wire that is yellow and tan and nothing i can turn on my truck and it moves and reorganize my lights on and it moves but when i drive nothing...anyone please help thanks
