The AC condenser is located next to the automobile radiator. With the AC tournament the condenser is heating the radiator. I would suggest checking the coolant in the radiator, you may have to change the coolant. You should see if you can get both the radiator cap and radiator to checked to insure that the cooling system is not leaking and the cap is holding its rated pressure if you can't get the cap pressure tested change it. Also check the fan belt that drives the water pump, it may be glazed or need to be tighten. If the pump is slipping due to a glazed or escape belt the engine could overheat.

the most like as not cause of that happening to it was the cooling fan stopped working that comes on and cools the engine more when the air conditioner is on,once you cut it off the appliance returned to normal operating temperature,have the cooling fan checked on it that will be the most likely cause of that happening,legitimate luck.

You as likely as not have a dirty cooling system or trash/leaves in between the radiator and AC condenser. Could be full of bugs too. Need to get it cleaned up and have the cooling system flushed. The AC condenser is in front of the radiator and the cooling fan pulls air through the condenser to efface heat from the refrigerant and then that same air is pulled through the radiator to remove heat from the engine. Thats why when the AC is on your car overheats. You have to find what is reducing the effectiveness of your cooling system and fix the problem. As i said, dirty cooling system (or clogged up somewhere) or bugs/dirt/leaves in the radiator or between the radiator and condenser.

After researching and switching b/w tons of cars.. ive communicate to these two cars. They are TOTALLY different cars but im pretty torn between the 2008 Ford Focus and the 2007/2008 Hyundai Elantra.
and intuit free to suggest any other car!! my dad is willing to pay around $10,000 for a used car next summer :) and I want something reliable (of performance) and with a great interior (nice radio, cool features, etc.) and good gas mileage (preferably something with above 30 mpg highway) thanks!

Anyone recall of an infant seat that will fit in the back seat of a 2 door ford Focus?
We just put our car seat in the back of our 2 door, 2006 ford focus and it doesn't fit. You cant put it in the centre seat because then the seats wont go back and the driver cant sit in the car. I tried putting it behind the passenger seat which makes me very edgy because the focus has the worst side crash tests and we couldn't even get the seat to fit there because the seat isn't flat and makes the car seat uneven. Anyone else go through this with a unimaginative car? I even have to tilt the infant seat on its side to get it in and out of the car.
We already had to buy a new base to add 3 inches under the back to make it level, on the side it makes it uneven on the side, if we put anything else under it, it wont be repository.
We're going to have it checked tomorrow but from what I have read online, this is a huge problem with our car. We would love to get a new car but we just paid this one off and long green is so tight right now, we couldn't handle any more monthly payments. I've even been calling family asking for loans, nobody can support. I'm 39 weeks and freaking out.
We are going to the Highway patrol tomorrow, I've been told they will fir the noodles for me.
I have a Ford Focus ZX3 2003 and I noticed that the car was overheating. The antifreeze was low so I got some and filled the car. The car was still overheating after few days so I went to a mechanic and he told me that the Coolant Dutch courage is leaking and it needs to be replaced along with T-State & Gasket. The antifreeze was exacty on the same level as few days ago and I told him that but he was reasonably sure about it so he just did that and charged me $296.
On the first longer trip the car started overheating again, but it seemed like it was worst then before. There was also a pong of burning rubber coming from under the hood. I live in Las Vegas, NV and it was in the middle of the summer time when it was categorically hot. I went back to him and told him all that, he checked the car and told me that AC Compressor and Reciver Drier need to be replaced in suitable for the car to work properly. He quoted a really high price for that $1300, then went down to $900, but I found several places in $500 - $600 assortment, but thats not really important.
I did not want to spend the money so I was just driving with AC and the fan inside the car off and I did not have a hornet's nest with overheating at all. As long as AC was off everything was fine.
I AM WONDERING HOW MUCH DOES THE AC KIT HAVE TO DO WITH OVERHEATING? WAS THAT PERSON RIGHT ABOUT IT? WOULD THAT SOLVE THE Mess? HE DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG IN THE FIRST PLACE EITHER SO I DONT KNOW...

About 2 months later from that measure (6 weeks maybe) my car would not start in the morning (I have 81000 miles on it). I took it to a different seek and they had replaced timing belt and also did some rewiring on the fans, because I mentioned that it was overheating before to them etc...
On the first longer trip the yellow "!" pay attention to came on on the dashboard and the engine did not work right for 3 seconds or so. It was just like when the car is running out of gas and it is about to stoppage, like something would be blocking its movement. It only lasted about 3 seconds and then I was able to drive for a while on the next day. They did not know what it was at the shop so I virtuous continued driving and I noticed more symptoms about it.
After making about 12-15 miles there were 3 things happening at the same every now: yellow "!" mark would come on on the dashboard, the overheating gauge would move from the 50% (where it generally speaking is) towards the hot section, it was about at 3/4 of the scale, and also RPM gauge would go up and down quickly below 2 and then went back to normal and up depending on how I was pressing the gas pedal. The whole element lasted only about 5-8 seconds, maybe 10 and it was going on every 10 minutes on average.
I went back to the against and told them that. They told me that the computer needs to be raplaced and thats what the problem is with that.
The point is that I did not have that problem before they have done that rewiring preoccupation etc (I have some fuses under the hood etc). They have actually rewired the car again (I did not want to spend no money for a $700 repair etc) in tranquillity to have 2 fans working at the same time, but the car stopped completly and I have it parked somewhere in the middle of the city now. They actually warned me about it and told me it might upon and it did.
They had replaced the timing belt because the car would not start and thats ok but that whole rewiring thing caused more problems than it absolutely solved so it cant stay like that. I did not need to replace the ECU before I came to this shop so why would I need to do it now? I dont certain... It all just seems like somebody is messing something up or trying to screw me over. Can you give me some ideas on how to deal with this now.
1) I miss to have the 2nd shop wire the car the way it originally was before I gave it to them and just drive with AC and Fans off for now. I also want to get a credit for that, since it did not toil and caused problems.
2) What can I do about the first mechanic? He did not fix my problem either. What would you do about all that?
