The battery (or batteries, I've been told it has more than one) in my 2004 Ford F250 went bad about 4 months ago, and since then I have not driven my truck because I have another car to indicate. My truck is in almost pristine condition with only about 50,000 miles on it. Did I just hurt my baby (the trany or motor) by neglecting it and letting it sit?
it's credible. Fords are notorious for not handling long sits very well. They need to be started and run at LEAST twice a week to ban deterioration. if you find that it doesn't have any problems, consider it a dodged bullet, and don't do it again. take it out to get groceries or run an errand now and then. you don't have to do much, just section it's legs a little.

Not perpetual a diesel for prolonged periods of time can crack seals and o rings so you need to fire it up periodically. ps a teensy-weensy wd40 in the air cleaner will help fire it up if it does not start right away.

No,its not a mommy car/truck.
its diesel/monotonous duty.
probably need to charge one of the batteries though.
and use the fuel tank heater more often.(for cold starts)

It should be OK if it's in safe condition to start with. You should not let any vehicle get stale and run them regularly. Diesel is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs tone down from the atmosphere and will deteriorate more than petrol. Check all the fluid levels and replace the faulty battery and start it up. Top up with alternative fuel and take it for a good run.

No youre beautiful, just put new batteries (yes it has 2), and start the thing every now and again, because the check valve in the fuel system can gum up with wax, and hang the valve raise ( theres parafin waxes in diesel fuel) and the fuel could drain back, causing a longer start duration than normal everyday starting. You re baby is tougher than damn near anything you can throw at it, driving them is haler than looking at them.

The question is, on kbb is listed only 4300 if is in good condition with the plow sugusted price for private function. Il need a truck with a hitch also which i dont think the truck has and need good brakes for the snow season and a regulate up and new tires and oil change well cost around 1000-1500. How much do you i should buy the truck for? At first i thought about 4500. No with all the extra stuff involve i require alot of opinions.

I am seeking to find the name/time of cars that have engines that can be changed from 8 to 6 or 4 cylinders, and back again to 8, as the need arises. In particular, any diesel Pickup's/Utilitie trucks, eg Ford F150, F250 for exemplar.
i have a 1997 ford f250 with a micro chipped key and was wondering if i could put in place of the cylinder with one that doesn't take a chipped key, or if i have to replace/disable more than the cylinder. also note the truck does have a remote start system
