The battery (or batteries, I've been told it has more than one) in my 2004 Ford F250 went bad about 4 months ago, and since then I have not driven my social relations because I have another car to drive. My truck is in almost pristine condition with only about 50,000 miles on it. Did I just hurt my baby (the trany or motor) by neglecting it and letting it sit?
it's practical. Fords are notorious for not handling long sits very well. They need to be started and run at LEAST twice a week to anticipate deterioration. if you find that it doesn't have any problems, consider it a dodged bullet, and don't do it again. take it out to get groceries or run an errand now and then. you don't have to do much, just extend it's legs a little.

Not continuous a diesel for prolonged periods of time can crack seals and o rings so you need to fire it up periodically. ps a little wd40 in the air cleaner will advise fire it up if it does not start right away.

It should be OK if it's in fit condition to start with. You should not let any vehicle get stale and run them regularly. Diesel is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs water from the ambience and will deteriorate more than petrol. Check all the fluid levels and replace the faulty battery and start it up. Top up with brand-new fuel and take it for a good run.

No youre nice, just put new batteries (yes it has 2), and start the thing every now and again, because the check valve in the fuel system can gum up with wax, and hang the valve available ( theres parafin waxes in diesel fuel) and the fuel could drain back, causing a longer start while than normal everyday starting. You re baby is tougher than damn near anything you can throw at it, driving them is healthier than looking at them.

I am seeking to find the name/in relation to of cars that have engines that can be changed from 8 to 6 or 4 cylinders, and back again to 8, as the need arises. In particular, any diesel Pickup's/Utilitie trucks, eg Ford F150, F250 for as it happens.

im looking at buy a junk between 2000-2004 i want mine to be 4x4 and diesel. ive saw a few trucks. do diesel start that easy in cold weather? can u just put stuff in the nutriment tank and it wont gell up? is there a big difference from a 6.0 and a 7.3 liter? ive looked at both. cant deside which to get. i concede the 7.3 will take more fuel. i dont want that. so i figured i was going to go with a 6.0. but if there isnt a difference at all i would well-founded go with the 7.3. how many mpg does the 6.0? how many mpg does the 7.3 get? and for the last question. do these start for the most part in the winter time? thanks for the infomation.
