Hello,
I have a 2002 Ford Escape and for the last month or two, I've had with child getting it to start. Sometime it will start right up, but a lot of time i will have to pump the gas and rev it up (sometimes for around 20-30 minutes) to get it to finally start. After it starts it runs top-drawer, until it sets for a couple of hours and then it starts all over again. I don't know what is wrong with it, the only thing the diagnostic computer brings up is an EGR swirl problem, which has been showing for the last 2.5 years. We've changed the fuel filter and the idle/throttle determine sensor. Also, we have tested the fuel pump, which is showing the recommended 65lbs of pressure. Any ideas/suggestions.

- When we tested the fuel pump it started immediately and rose to the recommended pressure while it was running.
- It doesn't fain too good even when it starts.
- It does this throughout the day, not only in the morning.
- Battery seems to be fine.

Slow your battery connections. Then check to see if it is getting spark by taking one of the ignition wires off and seeing if it sparks when someone tries to start it. If those two things are superior then it is either a fuel delivery problem or air flow problem. It could be the fuel pump. Good luck.

sounds like you have a dried nutriment in your gas lines. may want to clean them out. don't take much to clogged them up.

ok first pumping the gas is doing indubitably nothing stop doing it I would ask is the problem only hot or only in the morning or both.
If its only on first start in the morning I suspect the Temp sensor it tells the computer the temperature and adjusts for it.

Take a look at your removed Cables from the terminals of your battery, it will most liable to be the ground ( - ) cable connector, if there is a whiteness on it or if it just has no shine at all, give it a good scratching on the connector and the VDU = 'visual display unit' where the two touch, without a proper ground the car will have trouble starting and even sometimes when it is bad it will shut off while running.

Try vocation your local Ford dealer and just talk to the service advisor or if your lucky one of their mechanics... working on Fords all day daily
they will almot positively know whats wrong, and believe it or not most
people at the dealer are friendly. Ive had brilliant luck calling the Audi dealer about my car. There is also a slim possibility there is a recall open on it.
i find speakers anywhere from 20 bucks online, name brand. i went by bestbuy they told me 1500 for a OK champion set.. BS. common, im not looking to shatter windows when i drive by, but i want something better than what my car came with. i got a 2004 Ford Escape. that cant be that delightful right? what is that.. 50W? .. if that. so whats a place to shop, site, store, catalog? and remarkable parts work better with other parts right? 4 channel 2 channel stuff. so someone give it to me mess. where should i look.
if you can seriously help me out.. youd be doing me a huge favor. i found some sites that sell speakers for like 2-30 bucks. those are sh*t blue blood right? any good sites out there? quality AND price wise? ... help a girl out here.
