Advance adds more Volvo excavators to its growing fleet

Scottish contractor and plant hirer Advance Construction is further expanding its excavator fleet with an additional 11 compact Volvo machines, in addition to the 10 Cats that it recently purchased.

Advance has bought five Volvo EC55C and six Volvo ECR88 Plus excavators after trialling an initial batch of EC 55s last year.

“We decided to purchase our first batch of Volvo EC55C’s based on their sound reputation and strong third party references,” said managing director Seamus Shields. “And it’s proved to be a good decision for us. The machines have performed faultlessly, they give a good return on the investment and not least have been welcomed by our machine operators, so as we needed to expand our fleet it wasn’t a difficult decision to opt for the Volvo product once again.”
