my e46 seems to keep revving when dipping the clutch?

its like i have to withdraw off, then dip the clutch. if im to quick on the clutch the revs keep going for about a second. this is about 4000rpm plus.
the bmw guy says this is usual its just the way it is, does any body else have any explanation ?
ok sorry if it was hard to understand here goes
when i accelerate up to say 4000rpm, and prerequisite to go up a gear i have to lift off the accelerator wait for a moment then put my foot on the clutch before changing gear, if im too facile on the clutch its like im still accelerating, even though im not. its like maybe the accelerator cable is sticking, its my first bmw so im not sure, i do no how to ambitiousness lol

Your statements are not tractable to comprehend.
Correct me if I am wrong that you are saying that while lifting off your feet from the clutch pedal, you double dip, since if you are brilliant about releasing it, then the revs continue for about a second.
But are you in neutral or in gear after lifting off/releasing the clutch pedal? Is your foot vital on the accelerator pedal?
If you are in gear and trying to accelerate then the clutch is slipping.
Have the clutch disc thickness unhurried and visually checked under the bell housing. You may have to replace the whole kit (disc, pressure plate, flywheel, let out bearing and lever).
If you are in neutral with your other foot off the gas pedal yet the revs go up or continue up to 4k then there is definitely something wrong.
Of seminar your foot has no business pressing on the gas pedal when in neutral.

CAR FEATURE >> BMW E46 M3 CSL - Speedhunters

Since I started contributing Speedhunters my effort zone center has always focused on the tail and with it, especially been the subject of Prodrift Series. By all means I have no complaints about the compass of the effort, but I am often impaired before these farms JDM oriented circles. When Rod me down the queue to say that September would be BMW months, I knew I supposed to know that something is M3. I do not remember much about the BMW account, but I do know that I love. With a big thank you to the guys ration Driver.ie me sire this standard expressly incredible stage I to you, perhaps the greatest of all hours M3, the E46 CSL.

The CSL (Lightweight Coupe Show off) was limited to less than 1,400 units in 2003, making the M3 hardcore rare by any standard. I can not even guess outside of what would pass by like having something like that sitting in my garage, but, strangely, is one of these cars (like the Porsche GT3 RS), which would very dark to give a new lease from the mill specification....

YSE Car of the Week: 2003 BMW E46 M3 | The Truth About Cars

Careful call, Justin…though I’d be more than a illiberal in a stew about this car as a continually driver. After all, M3s aren’t the Bimmer that some wreath little woman uses to get back and forth to the soft surgeon’s establishment – this is a Michael-Schumacher-wannabe prime, a car that many, if not most, owners, take to the oversee. Unless you get it checked out with a pleasant tooth comb, or you graduated from BMW Services U., you’re prosperous to be paying for the last hotshoe’s mistreat.

I to with the some of the other folks on this board – a Euphemistic pre-owned 335, markedly if you can get one CPO, will price a bit more, but it might be a sick handle in the crave run.

Also, if you’re looking for a in use accustomed to negotiate Bimmer, how about an ‘06 750Li with 18,000 miles for a mention over 40K?
