According to British newspaper The Constantly Telegraph, Singapore could request extradition from a Commonwealth country should it consider the plot to have been an 'extradition misdeed', a category that includes 'acts done with the intention of endangering vehicles, vessels or aircraft' or 'malicious or mulish damage to property'. Though Piquet emerged thankfully unscathed from his hefty impact with the Marina Bay passage circuit concrete wall, the potential for injury or even worse – to driver or spectators – has not gone un-respected.
There are also possible litigious cases from Renault – for dragging the company's global name and image so publicly through the mud – and Ferrari. Felipe Massa had been cardinal the race when his compatriot Piquet crashed, but following the safety car intervention and a botched pit-stop, the São Paulista went on to take the down flag outside the points in 13th, before ultimately missing out on the drivers' world championship crown to McLaren contest Lewis Hamilton by just a single marker in the final reckoning.
“There is a clear causal tie-in between the alleged cheating and the financial loss to Massa and his team,” reasoned specialist sports advocate Stephen Hornsby. “As for Renault suing Briatore, that is possible too – but Renault are unthinkable to want to keep the matter going for little reward.”
This is due my view on whats happening in F1 at the moment and I'd like to hear peoples opinions.
*So Renault have forgotten their Pat Symonds and Flavio Briatore, during a time when their, now former team, are facing questions about last years Singapore results. And Renault have said they will not argue with the allegations. Quiet convenient that these two leave then Renault will not dispute the allegations.
*Should Renault not have a place in next years championship that means the Sauber party is back in as the 13th team after BMW announced they were withdrawing.
*Not only this but rumors have been going around that before his career is over, Fernando Alonso will drive for Ferrari. Well with Renault's championship in be uncertain for next year Fernando could be without a drive.
*But on the other hand there have been other rumors that Kimi's seat at Ferrari could be vacant, so there's Fernando's thrust or 2010.
*But if Renault leave then Red Bull Racing could be without an engine supplier. But then again more rumors have come about that RBR could make a take care of with Mclaren Mercedes to have engines from them.
I'm not saying that this is all going to happen but it's the way I see it and it all seems to fall into place a little too nicely for my taste.
Agree with some, disagree with some, or add your own opinion to the merry go round that is the 2009/2010 Formula 1 Championship.
I will say this though: This is one ride I won't be buying a ticket for.
Also I may have got some facts wrong so atmosphere free to correct me. Remember this is just my opinion and theory and I'd appreciate no attacks about this.
When I said 'buying a ticket for this journey' I meant that I wouldn't like to be in the middle of all this. I love F1 and nothing could tear me away from it. I know the Alonso rumor has been customary around for a while but its how all my points sort of connect together because of this situation with Reanult is what I'm trying to say.
the only way renault will not be on next years grid is if they on to leave because the fia won't kick them out.
There were talks of alonso going to ferrari long before any of this race fixing stuff.
Sauber may still track horse-races as the fia are thinking of allowing 14 teams on the grid next year.
Why wouldn't RBR consider changing to mercedes engines, they are distinctly the best engines on the grid.
The biggest change will be the defection of alonso to ferrari (if it happens). That will cause al kinds of violence on the driver market.
And as for not 'Buying a ticket' for the 'Ride', that is nonsense. F1 is just too intriguing not to watch.
I recognize its just your opinion but get off your high horse mate. The sport has always been filled with people trying to distance oneself from a shove off the realms of legality and even morality. It's part of the show.

I probably ramble on about my love for these cars a lot, but the GTS is pretty damn cool. If you don't believe me, go for a spin in one, it may just change your mind. Pictured here is a Maserati Gran Turismo Sport MC Sportline.
I wouldn't normally upload a car like this, but I did...
